These Hot Stuff and Kewpie kinetic sun catchers are hand carved and painted with gouache, acrylic, and are UV coated* on poplar wood. Hung on heavy ball chain with spinning mechanisms and a crystal sun-catcher counter weight. (they are also blacklight/plant light sensitive). *While this mobile has been varnished with a satin uv coating, and is meant to be placed near a window to create prism rainbow effect, It is not recommended to place it outdoors or near a window that get direct light MOST of the day on the painted parts of the wood, for longevity sake of the neon colors. For instance I hang mine from the ceiling just above the window so the crystal gets most of the light. Just maybe don’t hang it from the rear view mirror of your boogie van.
